Ramos Makes History At PSG

Ex-Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has made history at Paris Saint-Germain following his side's 4-3 win in Ligue 1 on the weekend, during which he claimed the assist for Lionel Messi's goal.

Messi Linked With January Move

The defender had a tough start to life in France last year, struggling to regain his fitness after injury issues in his final season at Los Blancos.

This season, however, Ramos has been a consistent performer for the Ligue 1 leaders, having already made 17 appearances across all competitions, four more than he did in all of the previous campaign.

The centre-back was named in PSG's starting XI once again on Saturday as the Paris-based giants claimed three points at the Parc des Princes in a scintillating 4-3 win over Troyes, with the Spaniard unbeaten yet again in Ligue 1.

According to the Daily Mirror, Ramos has become the first player representing the club to avoid defeat in his first 22 league matches, breaking the previous record held by Argentine Juan Pablo Sorin.

Since joining the side as a free agent in 2021, the 36-year-old has amassed just 30 PSG appearances overall, scoring three goals and registering one assist.

It was Ramos who played the ball into Messi before the ex-Barcelona captain struck from range to help Les Parisiens draw level on the weekend after they had gone behind earlier in the encounter.

The 180-time Spain international is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of his generation, having claimed four UEFA Champions League titles during his 16-year stay at Real.

Ramos has also enjoyed tremendous success while representing his country, winning two UEFA European Championships and the FIFA World Cup between 2008 and 2012.
