Mbappe To Terminate PSG Contract?

Mbappe To Terminate PSG Contract?

In light of the recent accusations Paris Saint-Germain are facing, Kylian Mbappe is reportedly exploring means by which to terminate his contract at the French giants.

Just a day after it was claimed that the 23-year-old is desperate to leave the Ligue 1 leaders "as soon as possible", a report in France stated that PSG hired an online company to cyber-attack Mbappe in 2019.

The France international was reportedly among the many targeted by online bots, although last season's league champions have released a statement in which they firmly deny the allegations made by Mediapart

Spanish giants Barcelona were accused of similar in the infamous "Barcagate" scandal that was uncovered in 2020, when former Blaugrana president Josep Maria Bartomeu paid for a smear campaign against legendary club figures such as Gerard Pique and Lionel Messi.

As a result of the apparent findings, RMC Sport has reported that Mbappe is looking into finding out whether or not "he has grounds to terminate" his contract in Paris, although the ultimate decision would lie with the French league.

It is believed the forward's camp will argue that "PSG have broken their duty to act with loyalty or good faith".

Mbappe's unhappiness in France, however, has been boiling for some time, despite the player having extended his deal at the club just five months ago on terms that reportedly made him the world's highest-paid player.

The ex-Monaco talent is said to feel PSG have not kept their side of the bargain after certain promises were said to have been made but not fulfilled in the recently passed transfer window, such as the acquisition of a world-class striker that he could play off.

New manager Christophe Galtier has also preferred to use him as a central striker, with Neymar and Lionel Messi behind him, although it is believed to be Mbappe's wish to be used in deeper areas from where he can be more involved.
