Following a lacklustre performance in his cameo against Stade de Reims on Saturday night, Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has been labelled a "a crybaby".
Arsenal Sink Liverpool To Reclaim Top Spot
For only the second time in the 2022/23 Ligue 1 campaign, PSG dropped points away at Reims in what turned into an ill-tempered affair.
Neymar, who started the game on the bench, was brought on to try to change Les Parisiens' fortunes in front of goal, but was unable to as the game ended 0-0.
Towards the match's conclusion, tempers started to flare, with Sergio Ramos being sent off for dissent, while both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar were booked for cynical fouls.
Netherlands icon Marco van Basten was particularly unimpressed by the way the Brazilian star conducted himself, having since accused the 30-year-old of being an unpleasant player.
"Neymar is a real crybaby, he is constantly provoking players," Van Basten said after the game, as per the Daily Mirror.
"In one second, he will foul someone and the next second he is playing the victim again.
"There is no permission to touch him. I would applaud it if someone actually dealt with him (with a challenge).
"He is an unpleasant person on the pitch."
Having had a brilliant start to the league season, Neymar has now failed to find the back of net for the third consecutive match in Ligue 1.
