Who’s That?! - A First Look At The PSL Teams On FIFA 23

Who’s That?! - A First Look At The PSL Teams On FIFA 23

FIFA 23's rendition of Kaizer Chiefs' number 11 Khama Billiat.

The PSL's big three will be representing South Africa in the upcoming FIFA 23.

Here's a first look at what the local ballers will look like on the game!

What's the story?

FIFA 23 drops this Friday on 30 September, but a few gamers have managed to gain early access through the 10 hour trial.

PSL FIFA fans will have an extra team to play with in the form of Mamelodi Sundowns, who announced their inclusion in the game last month, much to the excitement of the Ka Bo Yellow Nation.

The Soweto Giants are still involved in EA Sports' flagship football game, despite false rumours of their removal to make space for Masandawana.

Here's a look at the graphics of the players from the three sides.

PSL's Big Three

The graphics of South African players on FIFA has never been the best, especially when you compare them to the more high-profile figures of the game.

UK-based journalist, Joe Crann took to Twitter to share a first look at the players from both the Soweto Giants and Sundowns who are making their return to FIFA for the first time since 2008.

Here's a look at the Brazilians:

The best way to recognise the players is to look at their squad numbers. Number 15 is Andile Jali, Number 11 is Marcelo Allende.

EA did not do the best job with accurately portraying the Masandawana stars.

The same can be said for the Soweto Giants. None of the Orlando Pirates players are recognisable:

Nkosinathi Sibisi, Thembinkosi Lorch, Miguel Timm and Olisa Ndah look completely different from what fans would imagine them on the game.

From the hairstyles, and other intricate facial features, FIFA and EA were completely off the mark.

One thing that does look good are the kits and gamers who are eager to use local teams will hope the stadiums look more accurate than the player graphics.

Have your say on the graphics of the Pirates, Chiefs and Sundowns players...
