Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernandez could not hide his frustration and disappointment following his side's 2-0 loss to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
'We Would Love Ronaldo In Our League'
Despite creating a wealth of chances in the first half of their clash against the Bundesliga champions at the Allianz Arena, the Blaugrana left Germany empty-handed following a second-half collapse.
Robert Lewandowski and Pedri shared some of the better goalscoring opportunities but failed to find the back of the net, with Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane getting on the scoresheet for Bayern early in the second half.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Xavi admitted to being furious to have not come away from the Group C encounter with all three points.
"We were better than Bayern in many aspects," he said after the game, according to iMiaSanMia.
"We have matched them in intensity, rhythm and physicality.
"In the first half we were excellent with the ball, but I'm pissed off because today was a day to win here.
"No way should our opponent be allowed to score from a failure of marking at a corner when we have the match under control.
"Or to score down the middle on a counter-attack. We must learn from these mistakes."
Barca's next Champions League game will be against Inter Milan in Italy on 4 October.
