Supporters Reactions To Majoro Tweet
Earlier this week, Orlando Pirates striker Lehlohonolo Majoro caused a stir when he tweeted "tired of being a spectator" in what was an obvious jab at his lack of game time this season. Here is what the rest of South Africa thinks about "Major's" tweet…
"The major spectator," – Dope ZN
"This is Majoro when the going gets tough." – hlaoli
"The ill-discipline will not bring you joy, my boy… The chickens are coming home to roost." – Thula Bola
"He is not delivering when given a chance." – plain_mohau
"Every player has to prove himself; if he was performing, surely Tinkler would not make him a spectator." – Shazy
"Unprofessional. Is he producing the goods? Who must be on the bench, according to him? Is he the only one?" – Brix68
Some supporters have criticised the media for making a big deal of the tweet, but he did post the message on a public platform for all to see, so he was inviting commentators in.
Most supporters seem to take exception to the fact that he took to Twitter and not the field to try to prove himself. Majoro is, without a doubt, a talented striker, but has been undergoing a slump in form recently.
Despite having scored 12 goals for the Buccaneers since joining them in 2014, he has only scored one goal in 792 minutes of football this season… That is an alarming statistic for a center forward. It is also a statistic worthy of spectator status…
What do you think of Majoro's decision to use Twitter as a platform to air his grievance? Do you think he is deserving of more of a chance at Bucs?
