While the University of Pretoria may find themselves in a tough position as they find themselves as the cold meat in the relegation sandwich, there is an old sheriff in town in the form of Bafana Bafana legend and former goalscoring machine, Shaun Bartlett. Will he save the day?
Supporters Club caught up with an exuberantly positive Tuks student, David Mashatile, to find out how Pretoria currently feel about their team.
"It's exciting stuff. We have a celebrity as our coach, it's fantastic," he said.
"Did you see that Maritzburg game? Wow, what a team we have building here. We will survive."
When asked if he saw any change in the way the team now plays, Mashatile was effusive in his response.
"They playing beautiful football. Shaun Bartlett has turned our team into one big striker, like his 11 little minions running around, it's great," he added.
"There's a recognisable structure to the team, and it's all centered around scoring goals.
"Next season, the cup will stay in Pretoria, it's just going to move across to the university."
Tuks are looking in good form after their 4-2 win over Maritzburg United, and the boys certainly look like they plan on scoring more often than not.
What do you think Tuks' chances of avoiding relegation this season are? What are Bartlett's chances of turning the team's fortunes around?
