Bye Bye YeYe – A Sad Day For Khosi...

A dark cloud of mourning hangs over the Khosi Nation after it was revealed that Reneilwe "Yeye" Letsholonyane will no longer be plying his trade in Naturena after eight years of loyal service. He will now be joining Cole Alexander at Stuart Baxter's SuperSport United. The supporters are heartbroken, but not bitter. farewell Yeye…

It seems none of the supporters resent Letsholonyane for his decision. In fact many commended him on the move, and understand that, at this stage of a player’s career, it's purely business. Supporters seemed vocal about three things in particular: (a) the sadness of losing Yeye; (b) the gratitude for his services to the club; and (c) the fear of how potent a team SuperSport United will be next year.

"Thanks for your services, Yeye. It's sad to hear you are leaving the Khosi Nation. We wish you all the best at your new club and you will always stay in our thoughts." – Ta_Spy

"You will be greatly missed in the middle of the park… You have been an inspiration to our team through storms and good times…" – StupeAxe

"You served us well, my black Jesus." – Banned Iwandle

While most wished him well, there were one or two warnings for Yeye too.

"Giving a 33-year-old a two-year contract is a risk. Beware of Furman and Cole Alexander. Yeye, you might eat bench." – Khosiological

However, if there is any anger floating around the football community at all, it is aimed at Chiefs' management for not securing Yeye a bright future,

"So this means Katsande will be our new playmaker? I can't wait for next season, seeing my beloved Khosi fighting relegation" – from Kaizer Chiefs official Facebook group

"What shocks me is that we have not found his replacement… There were times we praised you, Yeye, there were times we yelled at you, but like a parent it was out of love. Farewell my player, you are a Chiefs legend and that doesn't happen overnight. I wish you all the best." – Mjoster

What is your message to Yeye? Do you think he will feature in the starting lineup at SSU? Did he make the right choice? Did Amakhosi management make the right choice?
