Khama Billiat Is Proving His Worth At Kaizer Chiefs

Surprise Star Takes Lead In Golden Boot Race
While there was no transfer fee involved for the Zimbabwean star, he's said to now be one of the highest-paid players in the division and was, to some extent, a bit of a risk for Chiefs given his recent injury problems.
At Naturena, however, he seems to have overcome those struggles, and to date he has been directly involved in 51% of all Chiefs' goals this season, scoring nine and assisting eight in all competitions.
Billiat is in the top 10 in the league when it comes to shots (49), shots on target (17), shots per 90 minutes (3.33) and final third passes per 90 minutes (17.7), and his hattrick in the CAF Confederation Cup this month was his first since coming to South Africa.
Chiefs may have spent big on wages in order to bring the former Masandawana star to Soweto, but – for now at least – it seems to have been a fine investment.
How many goals do you think Billiat can get this season?
We're only in December, but Khama Billiat has already matched his stats for the 2017/18 season, and he's certainly showing Kaizer Chiefs that he's worth the money they've spent on him.

Billiat, a former Absa Premiership Player of the Season, joined the Glamour Boys with much fanfare at the start of the current campaign, with Chiefs snapping him up from their rivals, Mamelodi Sundowns, on a free transfer.
