Pirates’ 'Xabi Alonso' Speaks About Club Honour
Orlando Pirates’ Xolani Mlambo has shared what it means to him to be able to play for the Soweto giants.
The 26-year-old joined the Buccaneers from Bidvest Wits in the January transfer window, where he went on to become one of the team’s instrumental midfield players.
Speaking after Pirates’ final Absa Premiership clash, the player revealed what an honour it has been playing for the team in the past months.
“Since joining Orlando Pirates it was a great honour and it still is, wearing the jersey of Orlando Pirates, it’s unbelievable and memorable moments that one can share and ever since I was here I am learning a lot from the coaches, the technical team and the supporters, so it is very honouring to be part of such a great family and I’m really grateful to have been given the opportunity to play amongst such talented individuals. I am willing to keep on learning and helping the team going forward,” Mlambo said.
