Keletso Makgalwa could be leaving Mamelodi Sundowns to join their Gauteng rivals ahead of the upcoming season, the Siya crew has been informed.
The 24-year-old striker is expected to go out on loan in order to get more game-time, given the plethora of forwards at Chloorkop following the arrival of Pavol Safranko and Thabiso Kutumela, who are boosting a team that already has Peter Shalulile, Kermit Erasmus and Gift Motupa in their attack.
According to Siya sources, Swallows have enquired about Makgalwa's services as talks between the two sides continue over several other players – among them captain Hlompho Kekana and Tebogo Langerman, the two senior figures.
Makgalwa managed only 10 matches in all competitions at Sundowns last season under co-coaches Manqoba Mngqithi and Rulani Mokwena, who won the league!
But there are no guarantees that tally of games will improve, hence the decision to look for a club where he can be a regular.
Indications are that Swallows are keen, but so, too, are DStv Premiership rookies Sekhukhune United, who have so far signed more than 10 players since their promotion.
Makgalwa has been on loan before, being sent to Maritzburg United in August 2018 only for his stint to be cut short, forcing him to return to his parent club.
Could Swallows be the ideal club for the stocky striker?
