Brandon Theron is understood to be contemplating his future with Marumo Gallants, with the Siya crew being informed that he could potentially leave the club.
The PSL newbies have been ringing the changes in preparation for their second season in the top-flight following a topsy turvy 2020/21 season, in which the club was nearly relegated but managed to survive and claim the Nedbank Cup.
Now, indications are that Theron, 28, is considering his future, with sources suggesting the player is dissatisfied with a number of issues - including unpaid salaries.
He joined Gallants at the start of the 2020/21 from Cape Umoya United and has been one of their key assets, making 22 appearances in all competitions, and played a key role in their Nedbank Cup triumph, featuring in four of their five matches en route to the final, and still has one year left to run on his contract.
The crew has reached out to the player's camp who revealed that they are in talks with the club over the player's future and will be making a decision imminently.
Information reaching the crew is that Theron's performances have not gone unnoticed and should the player fail to come to an agreement with the Polokwane-based outfit, will not be short of any suitors with a number of PSL clubs tracking the defender.
