Over the past weekend, the DStv Premiership and Nedbank Cup took centre stage with Marumo Gallants FC and Mamelodi Sundowns booking their places in the Nedbank Cup final, after eliminating Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Royal AM, respectively, in the semi-finals.
The two teams will square off at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday, May 28, at 18h00 to decide the winner of the last cup competition of the season.
Kaizer Chiefs continued with their rough patch, losing their fourth league match in a row when they lost 2-1 against Cape Town City at FNB stadium on Saturday afternoon. This was a second rescheduled match for the Naturena-based club who were hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore couldn't honour their fixtures against The Citizens and Golden Arrows. Interestingly, Amakhosi lost both games by the same score margin three days apart.
