The agent of former Kaizer Chiefs striker Gustavo Paez has confirmed that the striker will be receiving a handsome payout following a ruling cast down by FIFA in his case against Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
Paez had taken TTM to the world football governing body after the Venda-based outfit terminated his contract without officially kicking a ball for them back in 2020. This was after TTM alleged that the forward was still contracted to a team in Venezuela and were fearful of repeating the mistake made by Kaizer Chiefs in the case of Andriamirado Aro Hasina Andrianarimanana (Dax) which saw the Soweto giants being slapped with a two-window transfer ban by FIFA.
Now, the Siya crew reached out to Paez's South African agent Gerald Baloyi of Vodia Sports Management who confirmed to the crew that FIFA indeed ruled in favour of the 32-year-old, who is the due payment of around R2 million from TTM.
"I am still waiting for everything from the lawyer in Venezuela, although I can confirm that Gustavo will receive his money of R2m, which I rightfully due to him," Baloyi told the Siya crew.
Paez who is currently on the books of Zamora FC in the Venezuelan Primera División, has made public his desire to return to Mzansi could get his wish, with the agent revealing they are currently working on a deal for him in the DStv Premiership.
"I am currently working on something for Paez at the moment and hopefully something will come up in the new season," he said.
