TS Sporting Stun Ajax, First Win For Cosmos

TS Sporting Stun Ajax, First Win For Cosmos
There were mixed results for the National First Division's frontrunners as Ajax Cape Town lost their unbeaten record after coming a cropper to rookies, TS Sporting, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) played out a 2-2 draw with lowly Royal Eagles, while there were no goals between Mbombela United and Stellenbosch FC.   In addition, Jomo Cosmos and University of Pretoria recorded victories.   Muhsin Ertugral's Urban Warriors, who gave a debut to Ivorian striker, Guy Stephane Bedi and included another target man, Sedwyn George, in the squad for the first time following an injury to Tashreeq Morris, fought hard but in the end came away pointless.   The match was played under very hot conditions at the Kabokweni Stadium, where William Nkosi netted the only goal of the game in the 78th minute.   While TTM shot to the top of the log on goal difference with successful strikes from Tshepo Makgoga and Onyedikachi Ononogbu, struggling Eagles are way off the pace on a mere 2 points from a possible 12.   Muzi Thabotha and Levy Mashiane were on target for the KZN outfit as pressure mounts on their head coach, Roger Sikhakhane.   The match between a 10-man Stellenbosch and Tingwenyama at Idas Valley, was characterized by lots of goalmouth drama, passionate local supporters and a red card given to home striker, Lelethu Skelem.   Milton Dlamini's Mbombela side are in second position.   Cosmos finally grabbed their first 3-point haul after overpowering Maccabi FC 1-0 with Vusumuzi Mncube on the scoreboard.   At the Puma Rugby Stadium, Spurs took a very early lead after a defensive mix up but University of Pretoria recovered to net twice before half time via Pogiso Mahlangu and a penalty from veteran striker, Mame Niang.   Ubuntu Cape Town and TS Galaxy produced a goal each with Waseem Isaacs opening the scoring prior to Sakhele Nhlabathi's equalizer.   On Monday, Cape Umoya United entertain high-flying Richards Bay at the Cape Town Stadium
