TS Galaxy coach Dan Malesela has shared his feelings about missing out on mega stars Peter Shalulile and Mothobi Mvala.
Malesela was entrusted with the responsibility of leading the TS Galaxy team that recently purchased the top flight status of Highlands Park.
However, two of Highlands big name players in Shalulile and Mvala were not part of the sale of the club and were subsequently sold to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Speaking to the South African Football Journalists Association (SAFJA) via a virtual press conference, Malesela stated that he is content with the team he has assembled, insisting that his team is not in need of any players.
"I'm not one who wishes for particular players, if you get them, good, if not, you find something else. I'm not one who says 'I like that player' I don't like players. I want performers. I don't want favourites and all these things. That's why there is no agent who can say 'I have an association with you, I am supplying you with players."
"I look at what will suit the bulk of the players that are there then we take it but I'm not crazy about individualizing. I don't think there's anyone we miss, Malesela told SAFJA.
In addition, the former Chippa United coach, who was his candid self, revealed that of the two big name players, only top goalscorer Shalulile would have played in his team, with steely Bafana Bafana midfielder Mvala not being his ideal player.
"Let me be honest and say you are talking about Shalulile and Mvala. For me, I would have said maybe Shalulile is okay. But Mvala for me, he would not be my typical player. He's good for other people, but for me I would not be very comfortable," Malesela added.
