Sweswe was introduced to South African football fans when he joined Chiefs from Zimbabwean Premier League side Dynamos in July 2009.

During his time at Naturena, Sweswe played as a centre-back for the team between 2009 and 2012, before leaving for Bidvest Wits in July 2012.

At the end of his contract with the Students, the Zimbabwean spent a few months without a club before he joined Black Leopards in the National First Division - in October 2014.

The next year, Sweswe joined Zimbabwean club ZPK Kariba on his return to his home country, and now, at the age of 35, Sweswe has decided to hang up his boots.

He has accepted a position at the Footballers' Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ), where he was voted as secretary general at a congress held in Harare on Monday, according to media reports.
