Thabiso Kutumela’s impressive performances at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) have put him firmly back on the radar of clubs both locally and abroad.
The 32-year-old forward, who has scored in both of Bafana Bafana’s CHAN matches so far, is attracting interest from Sudanese giants Al-Hilal as well as an unnamed club from Albania, according to Siya sources.

Closer to home, several PSL outfits are also believed to be monitoring his situation, with AmaZulu, Siwelele FC and Marumo Gallants all showing interest in securing his services.
“Kutumela has proven that he can still perform at a high level, and his goals at CHAN have reminded everyone of his quality,” said a source.
“There’s interest from big teams outside the country, but also some PSL clubs are very keen to bring him in before the window closes,” added the source.
Currently without a club, Kutumela boasts an impressive CV that includes stints at Baroka FC, Orlando Pirates, Maritzburg United and Mamelodi Sundowns, where he won back-to-back Premiership titles in 2021/22 and 2022/23.
He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Cape Town City before a permanent move to Richards Bay, making 11 league appearances last term.
The forward has been open about his struggles for game time in recent seasons, but his CHAN form has underlined his enduring ability to make an impact in front of goal.

With the transfer window still open, his next move could come sooner rather than later.
South Africa will next face Niger in their final CHAN group stage match, with Kutumela expected to once again lead the line as Bafana look to secure a quarter-final spot.
