Apart from scoring the only goal for Mamelodi Sundowns during the 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs, Teko Modise was the star of the show for Pitso Mosimane's side at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Modise was oozing with confidence and showed why he eagerly wanted nothing less than three points for the Tshwane outfit from that game.
'The General', as the player is known in football circles, had five shots at goal which was the highest number by any player on the field at the Calabash on Saturday.
The midfielder made 54 passes and 42 of those were successful. He made 35 forward passes which was the highest number by any Sundowns player on the field.
Modise's passes into the final third were 11, which was the highest number by any Sundowns player against the Amakhosi.
He also had two crosses. The only other Sundowns player that played more crosses into the box was Ramahlwe Mphahlele with his five.
Modise capped his splendid performance with a superb goal that beat Brilliant Khuzwayo hands down in the Chiefs goal. It was the Soweto-born player's second consecutive goal against Chiefs in less than a year.
