The 36-year-old is said to be keen to continue as a player at Sundowns, beyond his current contract that is set to end in June.
Although the veteran midfielder has been struggling for game-time under Pitso Mosimane at Sundowns, he is said to have been eyeing a new two-year deal so as to remain the oldest player in the current squad at the Chloorkop outfit.
"Surprise wants to stay at the club and there is no reason why he will leave. At the end of the season, a decision will be made," a source told the Siya crew.
Should he get his wish for a new deal, the Matibidi-born player would be 38 at the end of a new two-year contract from now. Like his former teammate Esrom Nyandoro, Moriri could be set for retirement from professional football while still with Sundowns.
