Mozambique and Mali meet in their final Group A CHAN encounter at the Athlone Stadium on Sunday, with Mali looking to guarantee their place in the knockout stages.
Mozambique are coming off a thrilling 4-2 loss to Nigeria, which confirmed their elimination from the tournament.
The Mambas are rooted the bottom of the table with zero points, following back-to-back defeats to South Africa and the Super Eagles.
Meanwhile, Mali know only a win will guarantee them a spot into the next round.
Mali rescued a point in their second group game against the host, South Africa, thanks to Ibourahima Sidibe's 54th minute strike.
The Eagles are currently second in Group A, level on points with Bafana Bafana, after their opening win with Nigeria and Wednesday's draw with the hosts.
