South Africa Competes With Two U17 Teams In Lesotho

South Africa will compete with two U17 national teams in a closed tournament to be played in Lesotho. Soccer Laduma reported that the Lesotho Football Association had invited the South African U17 men's national team to a private tournament that would be contested by four other African national teams. The Crew can now confirm that South Africa will be fielding two teams instead of one, following the withdrawal of one of the national teams that were set to compete. "We are on our way to Lesotho as we speak. We are sending two South African teams; South African Team 1 and South African Team 2 to compete," said Chimhavi. Ntseki further added that as the U17 National head coach he will use every opportunity to get his players playing. "Look, the invitation from the Lesotho FA was very sudden. Between selecting the players and preparing them we did not get enough time, however, we are grateful at the opportunity to field two teams, this means more of our players will get to play and gain valuable experience," Ntseki told Soccer Laduma. The Crew also understands that this competition will run from Thursday 14 December 2017 still Sunday 17 December 2017.
