Jomo Sono, the former Orlando Pirates great and owner/coach of Jomo Cosmos, like many, does not know when his side will return to the pitch following an enforced Premier Soccer League shutdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
'The Black Prince' as he is known in football circles is also itching to get back to work but has to adhere to safety measure and remain in isolation, and has urged supporters to also be alert and cautious as more confirmed cases of COVID-19 are reported.
"It is difficult, but we have to follow protocol," Sono told the Siya crew.
Sono's Ezinkosi outfit is currently second from bottom in the GladAfrica Championship, the second tier in SA football, and faces the possibility of being relegated to the ABC Motsepe League with six matches to go in the season.
While that is a huge concern for Sono, it's taken a back seat as the country deals with ways to curb the spread of the virus, which has claimed thousands of lives, including prominent figures in football around the world.
"The most important stakeholder in this game are the fans and we must do all we can to protect them. I think we will have a clearer picture next month on how to proceed," added Sono.
