Golden Arrows defender, Siyanda Zwane, says they are prepared for the last 10 games of the season, starting with tonight's encounter against Moroka Swallows at Dobsonville Stadium.
Abafana Bes'thende are under massive pressure to collect points, as they trail 15th-placed Polokwane City by six points, although they have two games in hand. A loss in tonight's game against the Dube Birds could pile further pressure on the Durban-based side, but Zwane says they have done all the necessary preparation. The 31-year-old also bemoaned their leaking defence, which has conceded 37 goals in 20 league matches.
"We know what's at stake and we know what we need to do. A win is very important for us, not just in this game but in the last 10 games of the season. I know we haven't been doing well defensively, but sometimes in life things go like that. It's like if you are a boxer and they hit you too much, you'll lack confidence in every match you play. Psychologically it affects you and when you concede the first goal, you are like, 'Here it comes again,'" said the Sobantu-born player.
He concluded, "It's one of those things. We make small mistakes and get punished. When the opponents make mistakes, we also don't punish them. But we trust in God that we'll get out of this situation," he said.
