Departing Orlando Pirates defender, Siyabonga Sangweni, has thanked the club's chairman Dr. Irvin Khoza and his teammates for the time he has spent at the club.

Khoza has announced this morning that the centre back is retiring from professional football, following another of the injuries that have slowed his progress at the club.
The 34-year-old last played for Bucs in November during the CAF Champions League. He had been ruled out for the 2015/16 season, following a career-threatening knee injury.
"I'd like to thank the Chairman for giving me this opportunity to address you. I'd like to thank the Lord for giving me the ability to play also for granting me all I've asked in my career. I want to thank my team, those that found me here those I met. Thank you for respecting working with me. I will remain a Buccaneer, Once Always," Sangweni has been quoted as saying by Pirates on Twitter.

Sangweni has been with Pirates since 2011, having previously turned out for Golden Arrows.
