After spending time training with the senior team and captaining the DDC side, Sekhukhune United are understood to have offered their young midfielder, Alondwe 'Jub Jub' Mngwengwe, a senior team contract.

As previously reported by the Siya crew, the club has been mulling over a senior team contract for the 20-year-old. Now, sources close to both the player and the club have revealed that Mngwengwe has been offered a three-year deal, starting in July 2025 and running until June 2028.
"We know that Sipho Mbule maybe not be there next season and Linda Mntambo is maturing, so the club needed fresh blood to come through and that's why the club wants to keep their development products like Mngwengwe, hence the three-year contract that they have offered him. The deal will commence from July 2025 and will run until June 2028. He has been training with the senior team though he has been playing and captaining the DDC team where he has played all the games so far this season," a source informed Siya crew.

"He is a very good defensive midfielder. He can play for any team in the PSL and he is still young. He is only 20 years old but is doing very well. I wouldn't be surprised if he would be considered for the CHAN squad. It's a very good thing that Sekhukhune United are offering him a three-year contract. He deserves it," the source added.
Mngwengwe has played all the DDC games for Sekhukhune United this season.
The Siya crew reached out to Sekhukhune United for comment, but no response was received by the time of publication.
