Bloemfontein Celtic have been contacted by the league regarding their position on former player Patrick Tignyemb and the money owed to him.
Celtic were ordered by the world football governing body, FIFA, to pay Tignyemb R3 million after they were deemed to have unlawfully terminated his contract in 2019.
As reported by the Siya crew, Tignyemb's lawyers recently wrote a letter to the South African Football Association to request that Celtic be prevented from entering the 2021/22 season until they pay up.
News reaching the Siya crew is that the league's legal representatives have since written to the Mangaung club to seek clarity on whether the club has indeed failed to pay the Cameroonian goalkeeper as alleged by his lawyers.
In an email seen by the Siya crew, Siwelele have also been asked to send proof of payment, if they are in disagreement of the allegations made by Tignyemb's legal representatives.
It is not yet clear if Celtic have responded to the league's correspondence, or when they are planning to pay the 36-year-old shot-stopper.
