The winner of Saturday afternoon's Nedbank Cup Final between Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits, will walk away with a winner's cheque of R7 million.
The PSL confirmed the prize money for the competition on Saturday, and there's a big gulf between the winner's prize and the runners-up cheque of R2.5 million, which should add an extra incentive to the final.
Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United, who were defeated in the semi-finals, will each receive R1 million.
Losing quarter-finalists, Mamelodi Sundowns, SuperSport United, Bloemfontein Celtic and African Warriors, walk away from the competition with R400 000 prize money.
Those who lost in the round of 16 will receive R200 000, and the round of 32 losers each receive R100 000.
All PSL teams were also paid a R250 000 participation fee.
