Pitso Mosimane Says Kaizer Chiefs Can Still Afford To Drop Points

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach, Pitso Mosimane, believes Kaizer Chiefs can still afford to lose two games and, feels the title race could be decided by goal difference. The Brazilians were in a rampant mood on Wednesday night, as they thrashed Polokwane City 5-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, to close the gap on the league leaders to only eight points with eight matches left for Pitso's side. "They can afford to lose two games and smile, I mean they are eight points ahead of us. They can afford to lose two games and smile and take a draw," Mosimane said after the game. "But I don't know about the last draw, if they can take a draw and lose two games because we are trying to get as many goals as we can. I can foresee this could go down to goals, and Wits are applying the pressure on us with the goals, we need the goals. Mosimane added that the game was very important to their preparations for the CAF Champions League tie against TP Mazembe. "Look, it's not about we have to do what we have to do. We are playing at home to Polokwane City, we just have to get the goals. It doesn't what matter what other teams are doing," he added. "It was also a very important game before the Champions League, we are facing very difficult opponents." View The PSL Table
