The story
Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has completed his transfer to Qatar SC from African champions Al Ahly.
The 30-year-old departs Ahly after a successful four-year stint, during which he won 12 titles, including two CAF Champions League trophies.
Tau was officially unveiled by his new club on Tuesday, with supporters expressing their honest feelings about the move and wishing the "Lion of Judah" all the best for his exciting journey in Doha.
Today, the former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker penned down an emotional farewell message to the Egyptian giants following his long-awaited departure from the club.
"Dear Al Ahly people, from day one, I was here to make history, and together we made it. You, my beloved ones, have been my home and my inspiration for the years I have been with you," wrote Tau in his farewell letter.
"Together, we have made great and unforgettable memories. Together, we have won and celebrated 12 incredible Championships. I am really pleased to have achieved all of the great accolades with you without saving a single drop of sweat," he added, concluding his statement by writing:
"This isn't a goodbye, but a heartfelt see you later."
