The Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper is one of the players on Bucs' transfer list, as confirmed by the club earlier today.
The shot-stopper, who struggled for game time at Pirates in the 2015/16 Absa Premiership campaign, was excluded from the squad's pre-season preparations under Muhsin Ertugral and his technical team as the club has been working on sorting out his future for the upcoming season.
The Soweto giants have announced that Ovono will be travelling to Saudi Arabia for assessment, with the club having already received an offer for him.
According to German-based football publication Transfermarkt, Ovono is valued at about R3.1 million. However, it is important to note that this valuation is based on Transfermarkt's values, and not by means of supply and demand.
With the goalkeeper still contracted to Bucs until 2018, the club is set to cash in on him should his potential move to Saudi Arabia materialise.
Ovono is an Equatorial Guinea international and an important member of his national team at just 22 years of age.
