The midfielder was one of the star performers for the relegated Maluti FET College in the National First Division during the 2014/15 season.
The 21-year-old scored five goals for Maluti this past season, although his sublime performances did not help the side from going down to the NFD at the end of the campaign.
The Siya crew has it on good authority that Lorch has penned a three-year contract with The Buccaneers.
"Thembinkosi Lorch has signed for Orlando Pirates. It's a confidential matter at the moment between the parties that are involved in the deal. The club (Pirates) want to announce it themselves. He signed a three-year deal," a source told the Siya crew.
Lorch can play either on the left or right wing. He can also play as an attacking midfielder.
Bucs have also signed Gift Motupa from Baroka FC, as revealed by the Siya crew.
