"Yes, it has taken a bit of time because there were other options which the club were looking at but the technical team came up with the proposal that they would want to keep him and that's why the club has offered him a one-year extension. His current contract is expected to end on June 30, 2025 and the proposed extension takes it to June 2026," the Siya source stated.
On the other hand, a second insider stated that Ndlondlo could still play a role in a potential deal involving Polokwane City players Appollis and Thabang Matuludi, as previously reported by Soccer Laduma.

"You remember it's believed that Polokwane City wanted him to be part of the potential deal involving Appollis and Matuludi? That could still happen at the end of the season but Pirates can only benefit from that if Phillip is still their player and that's another reason why they are offering him a new one-year extension," the second source revealed.
The 29-year-old joined Pirates from Marumo Gallants on transfer deadline day in September 2022. This season, he has made a few appearances.
Soccer Laduma contacted Pirates for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
