Mamelodi Sundowns will only be allowed to register 23-players to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup this year.
It was reported on Soccer Laduma that according to the FIFA regulations, Masandawana will be able to submit an initial list, consisting of no more than 35 players to take part in the competition.
"Each participating club shall send a provisional list of 35 players (a minimum of four of whom shall be goalkeepers)," as stated in the FIFA regulations.
However, the FIFA regulations states that the club will have to choose only 23 names out of their initial 35-players, that will be placed into a final list, bound by a stipulated deadline.
Only these 23-players will be permitted to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup that is set to take place in Japan this year.

In the case of injuries to any of the 23-players in the final list, head Coach Pitso Mosimane will only be allowed to choose from the initial 35-players to replace someone on the final list.
"A player listed on the final list may be replaced by a player from the provisional list only in the event of serious injury or illness up until 24 hours before the kick-off of his team's first match," as added in the regulations.
Now, it remains to be seen which 23 players Mosimane will choose to face continental champions from around the globe.
