Botes, 36, and Bhasera, 30, both played over 50% of the Clever Boys' Absa Premiership games this season – 20 and 17 games respectively – however, it has been decided that they will now move on to pastures new.

Wits' CEO, Jose Ferreira, confirmed to the Siya crew that the duo had both left following the expiration of their contracts, saying that they would not be donning the club's colours in the 2016/17 season.

Although It remains to be seen where exactly the pair will be playing their football in the new season, there is talk of Henrico Botes rejoining his former head coach, Cavin Johnson, and his old club, Platinum Stars, while Bhasera is being targeted by SuperSport United.

Meanwhile, Keaghan Jacobs is also on the lookout for a new club after his contract with Wits expired today, and it is unknown as to whether he is seeking to stay in South Africa or not.
