Nkwazi FC Say Orlando Pirates Haven't Signed Justin Shonga Yet

Justin Shonga
The situation regarding Orlando Pirates' new signing, Justin Shonga, looks to be more complex than originally thought, but he is expected to finalise his move to the club. Read: SuperSport Coach Captain On CAF Semi Shonga, 20, was confirmed as Bucs' new signing this week after Irvin Khoza alluded on Tuesday that they were on the verge of bringing in a new forward to help Milutin Sredojevic in his push for silverware. However, given the fact that it is currently outside a transfer window and the player's club, High Flying Nkwazi FC, said that he still had a contract with them, there was some confusion as to when – or indeed if – the move would be finalised. The Siya crew got in contact with Nkwazi's Media Officer, Chashinsha Busenga, who gave his understanding of the present situation, explaining that the move should be finalised shortly. He still has to do his medicals and get some clearances from FAZ." Reports in Zambia suggest that Shonga was on an amateur contract in Lusaka and that he is able to move outside the transfer because he didn't actually have a professional contract with the club. He's effectively a free agent. Khoza did suggest that Shonga could make his debut for Pirates against Polokwane City this weekend, although there has been no confirmation as to whether he has been registered yet or not.
