Thanda Royal ZUlu

National First Division log leaders, Thanda Royal Zulu, continued their rich goal-scoring form by hammering FC Cape Town 4-1 away, Jomo Cosmos are up to second after dispatching AmaZulu by the same score line, while University of Pretoria bounced back with a 2-0 win over Black Leopards.   In addition, Milano United, Real Kings and Cape Town All Stars moved away from the drop zone following victories.   Thanks to the unstoppable Mhlengi Cele, who hit another hat-trick to bring his total to an amazing 10 in 6 games, Amabhubhesi have now netted 14 goals in their last 3 encounters and currently lead the log by 5 points.   The African Beasts were no match for Mboneni Sikhakhane's well-drilled team, especially after losing Sabelo Madi in the first half for a second yellow card.   In fact, it was his foul that led to Boikanyo Komane opening the score for the visitors via a third-minute penalty before Thanda went on the rampage.   Both sides were guilty of missing chances, with Siyabonga Dubula most unfortunate when twice rattling Thanda's bar from a distance.   Mxolisi Macuphu, Ange Ndayisengi, Tebogo Makobela and Linda Mntambo were Ezenkosi's heroes as Usuthu wilted away.   AmaTuks shot up to fourth after goals from Chemon Petersen and Jesse Jackson, while Royal Eagles also leapfrogged Lidoda Duvha after their 1-1 draw at Mbombela United, where the hosts' Siyabonga Madikane and Raymond Monama (Eagles) were on the scoresheet.   The other Mpumalanga encounter between Witbank Spurs and Santos also ended all square at 1-1. This result leaves the People's Team third from bottom.   Sipho Tshabalala and Renaldo Jonkers (Santos) were the scorers.   Eezy my Kinnes' 1-0 derby win over Stellenbosch through Gregory Roelf's effort has finally lifted the pressure off Boebie Solomons but the same cannot be said for his counterpart at Magesi, Jackie Ledwaba, after Kings netted 3 goals without reply.   Ayanda Ngcongo, Mondli Miya and Lindokuhle Mtshali gave the KZN rookies something to cheer about.   Igugu Lekapa celebrated their first three-point with a 1-0 win over Mthatha Bucks courtesy of Gaona Modisane's finish.
