The midfielder, who was signed from Alexandra United in July last year, has struggled for game-time at Aces this season.
With AmaZayoni doing well and challenging for the PSL title under Muhsin Ertugral this season, the Thaba Nchu-born player has been sent on loan for a chance to get more game-time under Allan Freese at Highlands.
"Kgomotso Koena is no longer at Mpumalanga Black Aces. He has been loaned to Highlands Park for the remainder of the season," a source told the Siya crew.
