"Aces directors and owners would like to clarify the teams name - especially after the SuperSport commentators erroneously spoke about the 'new' name of 'Black Aces.' The official name of the team remains 'Mpumalanga Black Aces FC' despite the company name changing," read a statement on the official Aces website.
AmaZayoni further added that a significant announcement would be made 'very soon' as to the status of their 'home.'
"For clarity sake, the owners Mario and George Morfou ran the team from their holding company Bitflow Investments which also owns their business LAKAMA.
"To diversify and consolidate their assets, they have registered a new company to wholly control the football team. The new holding company is Black Aces Pty Ltd - which now owns Mpumalanga Black Aces FC.
"We would like to assure our fans in Mpumalanga that we fully understand our commitment to the province and we apologize for any confusion around the name," concluded the Aces statement.
