Former Bloemfontein Celtic striker, Moses Spandeel, has retired from professional football.

Following a long absence from professional football, Spandeel made a return when he joined Mthatha Bucks for their National First Division campaign in the 2015/16 season.
The Eastern Cape side signed the veteran striker, following his impressive performances for Hungry Lions in the ABC Motsepe League, where he finished the third tier national playoffs as the top goal scorer last year.
Spandeel played a pivotal role in helping Amathol'amnyama to retain their NFD status, after a difficult first season in the second tier for the side.
Bucks have confirmed on their official Twitter account that Spandeel has called it quits at 36 years of age.
"We would like to bid farewell to Moses Spandeel, the 36-year-old speed merchant having decided to hang up his boots," Bucks tweeted.
Spandeel began his professional career with Celtic in 2000, having been promoted from the club's youth set-up.

He spent over a decade with the Mangaung outfit before he finally left the club in 2012, having contributed immensely to the team's progress during his many years with Siwelele.
