The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder struggled in his search for a club in the PSL in recent times. He had an unsuccessful trial with SuperSport United earlier this year.
The 26-year-old has been keeping fit at Africa Sport Youth Development Academy under the guidance of Harold 'Jazzy Queen' Legodi.
"Michael Nkambule jetted out to Thailand. He is with one of the teams there. I have heard that he has been doing well there. He is likely to sign with that team, if the deal hasn't yet been concluded," said the source.
Another source, who is a South African player plying his trade in Thailand, confirmed to the Siya crew that Nkambule is there.

"Yes, Nkambule is here. The guys were talking about him the other day and saying that he is here. It's just that the South African guys that are here are with different teams that are far apart from each other. I will confirm the details of the club he is with and get back to you," said the source.
