Mbuyiselo Sambu confirmed that he has parted ways with Free State Stars. The defender's future has been somewhat of a doubt for the better part of the season, after struggling for game time at Ea Lla Koto in the 2013/14 campaign.
Sambu has been plagued by injuries in his second season at Stars. The 30-year-old was one of the influential players for Stars with 19 league starts in his first season with the team in the 2012/13 campaign.
"We parted ways and wished each other good luck. I am available. I'm sure I will be getting my clearance as my contract is expiring in June," said Sambu.
It was revealed by the Siya crew that Tshepo Motsoeneng, Mongezi Bobe and Soriola Gege are some of the players that are no longer with the Bethlehem outfit.
Luyolo Nomandela and Sadate Ouro Akoriko are on their way to Mamelodi Sundowns and AmaZulu respectively.
The team is expected to be without a number of players including Mthokosizi Yende, Jurie Basie and Daniel Agyei in the new season.
"I don't think Jurie wanted to be here anyway. The guy hasn't been training regularly. He would complain about flu and stuff like that more often. (Salmaan) King and Mdu (Mthokozisi Yende) were called into the office as well. The indication is that they are on their way out," a source at Stars revealed.
