SAFA has confirmed funeral arrangements for the late Philemon 'Chippa' Masinga, the 49-year-old former Bafana Bafana legend who died on Sunday morning following a long battle with cancer.
The ex-Leeds United United, Mamelodi Sundowns and Jomo Cosmos forward will be buried in his hometown in Klerksdorp next week Thursday – January 24, with the association confirming there will be two memorial services in Johannesburg and in the North West prior to Masinga being buried.
He passed away at a Parktown private hospital after he was moved there from public care in Klerksdorp a few weeks earlier.
