Having struggled for game-time under the team's former coach, Allan Freese, the Mthatha-born player forced his way into the starting line-up at Stars under Cavin Johnson.
The skilful player made three starts for the North West outfit under Johnson towards the end of the 2014/15 season.
Johnson confirmed to the Siya crew that he is keeping the 25-year-old in his squad for the 2015/16 season.
"Yes, Zongo is staying with me. He will be staying for another season. He is staying for another season and hopefully more.
"He's doing well. I mean, I've put Zongo to a level now where he wants to play football only and that's it. He's going to do whatever he can as far as football is concerned," said Johnson.
Another player that is staying with Dikwena after the club extended his contract is Solomon Mathe.
