Mamelodi Sundowns & Orlando Pirates Still Want Jeremy Brockie

Jeremy Brockie
SuperSport United may have issued a hands-off warning regarding Jeremy Brockie, but it seems that Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates haven't given up on him yet. Read: Kaizer Chiefs' Growing Shopping List... The forward bagged 18 goals across all competitions this season for Matsatsantsa, including one in the Nedbank Cup final last month to help his side become the first team to retain the trophy since its inception in 2008. It has been reported by the Siya crew that both Sundowns and Pirates are keen on trying to sign the 29-year-old striker, with Kaizer Chiefs also making an enquiry of late. However, Stan Matthews, SuperSport's CEO, has previously stated that Brockie is not for sale at all, telling the crew last month, "Jeremy is our leading goalscorer and we won't even be considering selling him at this point in time." Find all updates on the latest rumours and confirmed deals in our Transfer Centre! The latest news reaching the crew is that Masandawana and the Buccaneers are continuing their pursuit of the New Zealander despite Matthews' comments and are preparing to test SuperSport's resolve now that the PSL's transfer window is officially open. Brockie signed a new long-term contract with Matsatsantsa last season and Eric Tinkler clearly sees him as an integral part of his side, however, he may be swayed by the prospect of a big-money move to one of South Africa's 'Big Three'.
