Result: Chippa 2-2 Tuks
Date: 11 May 2013
Venue: Philippi Stadium
Chippa United held University of Pretoria to a 2-2 draw to keep their hopes of survival alive in the ABSA Premiership.
James Okwuosa had opened the scoring for the Chilli Boys but a Thabo Mosadi double turned things around for Tuks in the second-half.
Chippa continued fighting and their persistence was rewarded in the 89th minute when Mkhanyiseli Siwahla struck to secure a point.
The game got off to a slow start but 20 minutes in Washington Arubi had to be alert to keep out a header from Asavela Mbekile.
Andile Mbenyane then saw his free-kick tipped over brilliantly by the stopper in the 25th minute. Chippa's pressure would pay off soon after though as Okwuosa nodded home after a cross from Tshepo Tomanyane.
Tuks looked a different side after the half-time break though and five minutes in Mosadi struck after poor defending from the home side.
In the 65th minute, Chippa's safety was suddenly hanging in the balance when Mosadi looped a header home after a chip over the top from David Radebe.
Chippa were struggling for chances late on but their continued efforts finally brought a reward in the 89th minute when Siwahla's dipping volley secured a point and kept their hopes of survival alive.
