AmaZulu were crowned Kwazulu-Natal Premiers Cup champions after defeating Richards Bay FC 1-0 in the final on Sunday afternoon.
Usuthu secured their spot in the final after defeating Real Kings via a penalty shoot-out on Sunday morning.
Richards Bay caused an upset in the semi-finals as they defeated Golden Arrows via the penalty shoot-out to secure their spot in the final.
The National First Division (NFD) outfit had the first real opening after 15 minutes when Stanley Muishond picked out Michael Gumede, who fired over the crossbar from close range.
However, Usuthu broke the deadlock with their first real opening midway through the first half thanks to a powerful finish from Thapelo Nyongo.
That goal proved to be the final bit of goal-mouth action as Cavin Johnson's men went into the break leading.
Richards Bay had a chance to level matters shortly after the break but Mushond failed to turn home Katleho Mphathe's shot with the net gaping.
The Absa Premiership managed to carve out another chance with 15 minutes remaining in the half but Siphephela Sithebe failed to direct his effort on target.
In the end, the NFD outfit could not find a way pass the AmaZulu defence as the top flight outfit held on for the win.
