Mahachi spent the 2015/16 season with Golden Arrows, after securing his release from Mamelodi Sundowns, following an unsuccessful spell with the Chloorkop outfit due to lack of game time.
Following a reported Premier Soccer League's Dispute Resolution Chamber hearing last year, the player obtained his clearance from Sundowns and managed to play for Arrows this past season.
The 22-year-old has been one of the best performers for Abafana Bes'thende under Clinton Larsen this past season. The Amakhosi have been impressed with the Zimbabwean and are now trying to add him to Steve Komphela's team for next season.
Having joined Arrows on a season-long deal when he made the move from Gauteng to KwaZulu-Natal, the attack minded player is set to be a free agent at the end of June.
Siya sources have revealed that the Zimbabwean is in advance talks with Chiefs, and could don the number 11 jersey, which was previously worn by the likes of Nelson "Teenage" Dladla and Jabu Pule (Mahlangu).
