News coming out of Kenya is that Kevin Ade Omondi has joined Moroka Swallows.
The Dube Birds are looking to massively bolster their squad, after a poor season in which they avoided the relegation/promotion Playoffs on the last day of the 2013/14 Absa Premiership season. The club has been operating on a shoestring budget after they lost their sponsorship with Volkswagen, and have now added the Kenyan international to their squad as they target an improved showing next season.
Soccer Laduma put a call through to Swallows' Chief Executive Officer, Leon Prins, who confirmed that the player has signed on the dotted line for the maroon and white-clad outfit.
"He is on his way. He is an exciting attacking player who can play as a winger and as a midfielder. We are looking forward to seeing him in preseason."
The Siya crew has learnt that the 23-year-old star spent a week on trial at Ajax Cape Town. However, his agent Basil Manousakis revealed to the crew, "However, Swallows acted swiftly and handed him a two-year contract, with an option of a further year. He's a terrific player."
