Slavia Prague's South African defender, Keegan Ritchie, says that he's living the dream in the Czech Republic, and has been impressed by his new coach.
Ritchie signed for Slavia earlier this year after securing a move from PSL side, Kaizer Chiefs, and has already played three full games for his new side.
However, the Czech side have struggled in the Gambrinus Liga so far this seaso, and are hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, something that forced them to fire Miroslav Koubek and hire Dutchman, Alex Pastoor.
Speaking to Slavia's official website, the left-back said of his move, "It's like a dream come true, everyone in Africa dreams of playing in Europe. I'm excited, but we have to work on and win games. It's always difficult to come to a new club, but even if I did not play I didn't let my head drop, I did my job and waited for my chance to come."
He also spoke of the new coach, Pastoor, saying, "It's a big shift . The morale and team spirit is now significantly higher and I think the players are excited by the new coach."
There are currently nine games left in the Gambrinus Liga this season, and Ritchie's side will need to improve their form if they are to guarantee their place in the top flight.
Slavia are currently 11th out of 16 teams and four points above the relegation zone.
